Committee Members

Workshop Coordinator - Kelley LaPlace

Workshop Coordinator acquires the services of a local, state, or national quilt instructor to present a workshop for the members. For example, one of our guild members could present a workshop, as Marty Rigo did for the crazy nine patch quilt. Shirley Stutz is a teacher on the state level and Ami Simms is an example of a teacher on the national level. The coordinator needs to retain the teacher, find a place for the workshop, determine the cost, and take care of the room and board for out of town teachers. Also, the coordinator signs up guild members, collect fees, and submit expenses to the treasurer. This should be done once or twice a year.

Bi-Annual Quilt Show (even years) - Karla Zadnik

Retreat - Kathy Zaebst

Little Quilt Show (odd years) -  Kathy Gordon

Ways and Means - Marsha Beane and Kathy Gordon

The Ways and Means Committee coordinates our fund raising activities. This includes events such as workshops, quilt-ins, retreats, raffle quilt and auctions.

Welcome

The Welcome Committee signs in members at each meeting, welcome newcomers and introduces them during the business meeting, checks for name tags and charges 25 cents if forgotten, collects/buys door prizes to give away during the business meeting, maintains monthly attendance sheets, and sells the guild pins.

If you'd like to join our Guild, you can email our President (see above), or talk to whoever is at the Welcome table at the meeting.  Dues are $25 per year, $12 if you join after June 1st.
